I'm an assistant manager, any interview tips for a manager interview?

by admin September 11th, 2008

I'm an assistant manager for a really big company, going for an interview for manager of a smaller company.

I'm younge and do not really have much managerial experience apart from the assistant manager experience.

Any tips on how to answer the question about my age? I know I'm more than capable of doing the job., it's just putting it into correct words! Thanks!

Management jobs tend to be competancy based eg tell me a time that you have delt with conflict in the work place.
If you have experience this will shine otherwise you will be going um um I um um.
Make a list of all the things you want to say about yourself and read it a lot try to take charge, power dress and don't be affraid to disagree with the others if you are confident you are right.
I always try to say whats in it for me if you want the job make them think you are sizing them up and it has to be in your interest .

Can anyone give me some good job interview tips please and good things to say at interview?

I will be going for a job interview soon and job interviews are something that I am crap at. I know I can do the job, the interviewer knows I can do the job but I never get the job - can anyone offer any advice or good tips?

Smile and be polite. I find interviewers make up their minds within 5 mins of seeing you.

How do evade your nosy present employer from seeing your job search on the internet?

by admin September 11th, 2008

Specifically, the present employer can see the job searches on the job search sites and routinely looks. If he sees my name on there, I would most likely be fired on the spot. I am not happy, and feel trapped. I asked this question before and received an answer about not doing it from work. It does not matter where I put my resumes in if he looks on the job site. What to do?

why would your employer have access to your personal computer at your home????

i need some interview help - what skills and qualities will you bring to our company?

by admin September 11th, 2008

i am applying for a job in pharmacy in a really good Alliance chemist and i need some help with the interview question:

what skills and qualities will you bring to our company?

could someone please give me a good reply to this question, as i have asked around and this is one of the main things they ask

Tell them you are more than familiar with drugs. Tell them you have a long standing relationship with pharmacological drugs.Tell them your an avid user of these type of drugs and have lots of first hand experience.Tell them you went to college online which explains how you could have acquired the knowledge to meet the requirements of the job, and still not be smart enough to handle a simple interview on your own. Your a shoe in for the job!

Can someone help me find my special skills for interview?

by admin September 11th, 2008

how do I know what my special skills are?

Your skills should vary according to the kind of job you are applying for. However, from a practical point of view the most common and important skills an employer looks for are: good people skills if your job requires you to deal with customers and/or patients (like in a hospital or doctor's office), computer literacy (as well as typing or some computer programming) if you are required to work with computers or in an office, language skills and some knowledge of foreign languages if you are applying to work in a multilingual/ multicultural environment, good with children if you want to work in a child care center or elementary school, excellent writing skills and creativity if you would like to work as an editor or proof reader, knowledge of food as well as nutrition and calorie counting if you want to obtain experience in a cooking or dietetics profession, and of course, advanced math skills if you are interested in applying for work in an accounting firm. There are numerous possibilites. You should review your skills and work experience, and then consider applying to the appropriate companies you are interested in working for according to your skills and what you would like to do. Eventually you should keep updating yourself by learning new skills, mastering the skills you already have, and continue to study and prepare for the opportunities you are seeking. Good luck.
